The anti-gay marriage TV ad titled "Gathering Storm," produced by the so-called "National Organization for Marriage," shows the level of desperation the far right is having after the victory of the marriage equality movement in Iowa and Vermont. The far right has ran out of arguments to oppose same-sex marriage (not that they ever had any) and has adopted plain bigotry to stop equal rights for everybody. Watch the ad and look for yourself.
Today, the Iowa Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the ban on same-sex marriage passed a decade ago by the state legislature violates the notion of equal protection under the law and, therefore, is unconstitutional. It seems clear by now that Republicans haven't learned anything from their electoral defeats. Instead of reaching out to new segments of the electorate, party leaders and figures are preaching the same old divisive message to please a narrow-minded right-wing minority of extremists.
