Fighting crime                                               

Government’s first responsibility is to protect individuals’ rights, liberties and safety. This was the reason why modern governments were created. Therefore, as its primary function, government should make sure that those who break the law and infringe upon the individual rights of others receive a fair sentence for their felonies. We oppose early release of criminals and similar measures that make the legal system unfair to the victims.

We understand that liberals have differing views on the benefits and dangers of capital punishment. This is not surprising since liberals have always been strong defenders of human rigths. Therefore, we prefer not to take a position on this particular issue. We do strongly oppose the most inhumane methods used to carry out this form of punishment.
