Tax reform                                                              

We believe in low taxes as one of the pillars of sustained economic expansion. Our policy proposals include:

• the simplification of the tax code;
• the phase-out of the estate tax and the alternative minimum tax;
• a reduction in the corporate tax rate (currently the second highest in the world)
• a green tax shift, which would shift the tax burden from individuals, families and businesses to polluters. This could be done through the implementation of a carbon tax to curb greenhouse gas emissions. With a carbon tax in place, income and corporate taxes could be reduced.

All these measures would generate an instant positive impact on the economy, creating incentives for companies to invest and create millions of new jobs in America
