Strenghtening our alliances                           

We support a foreign policy based on a combination of liberalism and realism; that is, the presence of a strong defense as a deterrent to enemies and cooperation with traditional as well as non-traditional allies. We strongly believe in the liberal notion that sees free trade as a tool to expand freedom and democracy abroad. We reject the notion of nation-building and foreign adventurism promoted by the so-called "neo-conservative" approach. We believe that intervention to defend human rights is justified.
