Investing in science & technology                   

Science and technology have always been the areas in which America has excelled. Our status as the world’s largest economy will ultimately depend on our capacity to continue being the leader in innovation. Therefore, it is essential to heavily invest in the scientific and technological fields. We believe it is essential to:

• invest in the discovery of cures to diseases;
• make public policy based on science instead of parochial views while, at the same time, keep ethical and moral lines (for instance, we support the expansion of stem cell research);
• invest in alternative energy sources;
• launch a new space program with the objective of sending human beings to Mars in the next decades;
• accelerate the construction of the international space station;
• continue being a leader in the telecommunications industry
